Join DCLA in the annual 4th of July Boat parade; always on the 4th of July!
Fourth of July Boat Parade is always on the 4th. Here are a few things to remember when participating in the boat parade:
A contact phone number including area code (legible from the shore) must be displayed on the starboard (shore) side of our boat. DCLA uses this to contact winners. If there is no phone number, the boaters will not be eligible for a prize.
Line up begins on the northside of the lake near the boat launch at 12:45 pm for a 1:00 takeoff. A DCLA board member will be the lead boat and everyone will follow behind. Please stay in line and do your best to keep the parade going. Do not stop unless you absolutely have to. Please be safe and keep a safe distance from the other boats and observe all standard boating rules.
Please follow the route entirely around the whole lake so all lake residents and their guests have the opportunity to see your boat. DCLA has judges all around the lake, and you have to pass by each judging location to be eligible to win. You never know which house is judging!
Prizes awarded to winners!
Happy Decorating!
